管理守則第一條：每天醒來時務必查看生理手錶跟自我認定，以確認自己狀態正常。Regulation 1: upon waking each day, you must check your vitals watch and your sense of self, to confirm that your condition is normal.
被世人遺忘的地底實驗室——餘音設施。研究對象不是病菌，也不是化學武器，而是「聲音的實體化」。An underground laboratory the world has forgotten — the Afterglow Facility. Its subject is neither pathogen nor chemical weapon, but the embodiment of sound itself.
設施裡關著被稱為殘響的人形個體。它們曾經是人類，在高頻噪音與禁忌音律的折磨下，肉體扭曲，靈魂崩解成碎裂的樂譜。Contained within are humanoid entities designated Reverberations. They were human once. Under sustained high-frequency noise and forbidden intervals, their bodies warped and their souls came apart into fragments of score.
你是新到任的管理者。你的職責不是拯救，是維持。每天巡視收容室、確保不會發生集體暴走、在理智掉到 30% 以下之前把自己撐住。You are the newly appointed Overseer. Your duty is not to save them. It is to maintain them. Patrol the containment cells each day, prevent a mass breakdown, and hold yourself together before your sanity falls below 30%.
設施只認一樣東西——殘頁。七天之後你會拿到一張成績單，而那張成績單的分母是空白的。The facility recognises exactly one thing — remnant pages. After seven days you receive an assessment. The denominator on that assessment is left blank.
第八條之後被撕掉了。紙上還留著水漬。Everything after clause 8 has been torn away. Water damage remains on the paper.
年齡 32、身高 182、職位管理者、理智值平均值以上。
至於名字跟性別——Age 32. Height 182 cm. Position: Overseer. Sanity above average.
As for name and gender —
無法言語，只能發出破碎刺耳的鳴叫。研究人員把那些聲響記錄下來，叫做「殘響樂譜」。Incapable of speech; able only to produce a broken, lacerating cry. Researchers transcribed those sounds and called the result the Reverberation Score.
他的檔案上，由設施寫著一條規則：
「不要在不該說話的時間說話。」One rule, written on his file by the facility:
“Do not speak at a time when you should not speak.”

一條主廊，盡頭是十字路口。管理室在走廊②的下方，五間收容室分在十字的上、下、盡頭。A single main corridor ending in a crossroads. The control room sits below corridor ②; the five containment cells lie above, below and beyond the crossing.
